Kancamagus 8 Summit, Loon Mountain Live Cam

This camera sits at the top of the Kancamagus 8 chairlift in the West Basin of Loon Mountain in Lincoln, New Hampshire. Its views include a lift tower with cables, open trail ground and forested ridges rolling away across the valley.

The Kancamagus 8 chairlift carries riders up the West Basin side of the mountain, and trails such as Rampasture start from its top for skiers and snowboarders. In warmer months mountain bikers take the Highball trail from the same point. Loon Mountain stands in the White Mountains, and the view from here reaches far into the valley.

The camera turns between two scenes. One looks out over the valley and the ridges past the lift tower, the other looks toward the unloading station and the trail where skiers and riders set off. Unlike the base-area cameras, this one watches the top of the lift.
