Jackson Hole, Rodeo Live Cam

The arena of the Jackson Hole Rodeo stands empty for most of the day, a dirt oval with grandstands on the edge of Jackson, Wyoming. The webcam looks across it from behind the seating.

The rodeo runs on summer evenings, several nights a week from late May into September, and has been in the hands of the same family for generations. Bareback, bulls, barrel racing and a calf scramble for children fill about two hours.

Jackson Hole is the valley; the town is Jackson. The floor of it lies nearly two thousand metres up between the Tetons and the Gros Ventre range, and the National Elk Refuge on the northern edge of town holds several thousand elk through the winter.
