Snow King Summit Gondola, Jackson Live Cam

This camera is set at the Snow King Mountain summit and looks down over the town of Jackson, Wyoming, and the valley below. A gondola tower with passing cabins fills the right side of the frame and a glass-walled building stands on the left.

Snow King reaches 7,808 feet, about 1,571 feet above its base, on the southeast edge of Jackson. An eight-passenger gondola runs from the base to the summit, carrying skiers in winter and sightseers in summer, and the summit has trails for walking back down.

This is the highest of the Snow King views: the street grid of the town lies straight below the tower, the open valley spreads to the right, and a bare brown ridge rises beyond the roofs. Weather changes the picture a lot: on clear days the whole valley is open, while low cloud can hide the hills and even the tower.
