Weather and time
This webcam looks west from Moose, Wyoming, across a sagebrush flat to the Teton Range in Grand Teton National Park. A belt of cottonwoods and spruce fills the middle of the view, and jagged summits rise above the treeline.
Moose is a small settlement on the Snake River at the southern end of the park, home to the Craig Thomas Discovery and Visitor Center and the park headquarters. The Teton Range runs about 40 miles from north to south and climbs steeply from the floor of Jackson Hole. Grand Teton, its highest summit, reaches 13,775 feet (4,199 m).
The camera is fixed on this stretch of the range, and about a third of the picture is sky. The view follows passing cloud, fresh snow on the peaks and the light changing through the day, as the morning sun falls on the east faces of the range.
