Gate House Plaza, Sugarbush Live Cam

Gate House Plaza is the lower base area of the Sugarbush resort in Vermont, and this webcam looks up the slope from it. Skiers gather on the snow in front of the lodge, and a lift line climbs the trail into the trees behind.

Sugarbush spreads over two mountains above the Mad River Valley, with around 600 acres of marked terrain and a large area of backcountry beyond it. Gate House is the lower of the two base areas, where the beginner terrain and the ski school meet the runs coming down from above.

Snow cover here is thin at the edges early and late in the season, and the plaza turns to slush on warm afternoons. In summer the same slope is green and the base area is used for hiking and golf.
