Weather and time
Two stacked views show the BNSF Needles Subdivision where it runs through the desert town of Daggett, California. A wide strip of passing freight sits on top, with a closer look at the town crossing below.
Daggett is a Mojave Desert community in San Bernardino County, roughly eight miles east of Barstow. BNSF and Union Pacific freights and Amtrak's Southwest Chief use this stretch of line. The crossing in the lower frame has flashing lights, with a Welcome to Daggett sign beside it and an old brick building at the right edge.
Both views stay fixed. Double-stack container trains pass in front of low hills, and lettering spelling CALICO is visible on one slope behind town. The upper strip shows the full length of a train, while the lower frame is closer to the signals and the sign.
