Cumberland Falls, Kentucky Live Cam

Cumberland Falls drops about twenty metres across a ledge sixty metres wide, in a state park in southern Kentucky. The webcam looks at the fall from the overlook.

This is one of the few places in the world where a moonbow can be relied on. On clear nights around the full moon the spray throws a rainbow lit by moonlight instead of sun, faint and usually colourless to the eye; the park publishes the dates.

The river below runs through a gorge cut into sandstone and is used for rafting. The park was one of the first in the state, given to Kentucky in 1930 by a businessman who bought the falls to stop a power company damming them.
