Low Wood Bay, Lake Windermere Live Cam

This view looks across the marina at Low Wood Bay on the eastern shore of Windermere towards the Langdale Pikes. Yachts and motor cruisers lie along the floating pontoons, with the wooded western shore and the central fells beyond.

Windermere is the largest lake in England, a long ribbon lake in the Lake District of Cumbria. Low Wood Bay lies beside the A591 about 1.5 km south of Waterhead, the lakeside quarter of Ambleside at the head of the lake. Wray Castle stands in woodland on the opposite shore. The Langdale Pikes rise above Great Langdale some 11 km to the west-northwest.

The camera by the lakeshore moves between preset views. Besides the marina with the Langdale skyline, it turns to the jetty of hire motorboats, follows the yachts berthed along the pontoons and looks back at the white hotel buildings behind a broad lawn.
