Night traffic in Kaohsiung harbour passes the KW2 warehouse quay, where cargo ships lie at berth under working lights. The promenade in front of the webcam stays busy after dark, with people sitting along the water edge.

Warehouse No. 2 stands in Gushan District, part of the old port area that has been converted into a public waterfront. The Pier-2 Art Center, several museums and the ferry berths for Cijin Island are all within walking distance.

Kaohsiung is the largest port in Taiwan and the main container gateway of the country, so vessel movement continues around the clock. Ferries crossing to Cijin cut across the channel in the background of the frame.
