Kaicheng Temple, Jiufen Live Cam

This camera at the forecourt of Kaicheng Temple looks over the hillside town of Jiufen and the bay below it. It switches between a wide view of the coast and zoomed shots of the far shore and the village roofs.

Kaicheng Temple stands at the highest point of Jiufen, a former gold-mining town in Ruifang District, New Taipei. Its square looks over the steep rooftops and forested ridges to the coast. To the northwest the sea opens up past two headlands, and Keelung Islet rises from the water on the horizon.

The camera does not hold a single view. The wide shot shows the bay with a few village roofs in the lower corner and Keelung Islet on the right. Zoomed frames pick out a far-shore town with a harbour and a white arched bridge, or the green cone of Keelung Mountain. Another view drops to the village roofs, including an orange temple roof.
