Zhinan Temple, Maokong Live Cam

This live view looks out from Zhinan Temple on the slopes of Maokong across southern Taipei toward the city centre. Apartment towers of Wenshan climb the wooded hillsides in the foreground, with the downtown skyline along the horizon.

Zhinan Temple is a large hillside temple complex dedicated to Lü Dongbin, set halfway up the tea-growing hills of Maokong in Wenshan District. The camera is mounted in front of its main hall, so the view drops over Muzha and the Jingmei River valley before reaching the high-rise districts further north. Ridges frame the basin on both sides, and a Maokong Gondola station sits just below the temple.

The camera moves between preset views, from a close look at the residential slopes below to a wide panorama of the Taipei Basin. On hazy days the distant skyline fades into the mountains.
