134 Highland, Kinmen Live Cam

This camera looks out from 134 Highland in Jinhu Township over the wooded hills, villages and coast of central Kinmen. One of its views follows the long runway of Shangyi Airport beside a wide bay.

134 Highland stands at Xiaxing, close to Mount Taiwu, the highest peak of Kinmen. In wartime it was a military strongpoint with a flashing signal station that passed Morse messages by light to nearby islands such as Lieyu. The full panorama from the hill stretches from Beitaiwu in the east to the Qionglin estuary in the west.

The camera turns between several views. One looks toward the runway and bay with a village below and granite boulders on the slope in front. Another looks over wooded lowlands and villages toward a hazy shoreline far away, and at first light a town with a small lake appears in the distance.
