Qilin Mountain Forest Park, Lieyu Live Cam

This camera looks out from Qilin Mountain Forest Park on Lieyu, high above the water of the Jinlie Channel. The wide view shows a long bridge crossing the strait, with farmland and village roofs below the wooded slope.

Qilin Mountain is the highest point of Lieyu Township, rising to more than 100 metres. A shooting range built here in 1958 closed in 2009, and the hill is now used for hiking, with an observation deck at the summit. On clear days the view reaches the Xiamen coast and the islands of Dadan and Erdan.

The camera rotates between several positions. One takes in the whole span of Kinmen Bridge, another zooms in on a ferry terminal with a large pitched roof and a red lighthouse on a breakwater. At dawn the bridge lights glow against the sky.
