Weather and time
This camera looks across the beach at Jiangong Islet, a small rocky island off Jincheng near the mouth of the Wujiang. A tall statue stands among the trees on the islet, and a stone walkway runs out to it across the tidal flat.
The islet covers about 500 square metres and once served as a lookout between the main island of Kinmen and Lieyu. The statue shows Zheng Chenggong, known as Koxinga, and faces Gulangyu in Xiamen, where another statue of him stands. Tall oyster-harvester figures line the walkway, a nod to local oyster farming.
The scene changes with the tide. At low water the walkway is exposed and visitors cross toward the islet, while at higher water the islet stands in open sea with two sculptures rising from the water. A second camera position turns along the shore toward a breakwater lighthouse and rows of poles in the shallows.
