Cihu Triangle Fort, Kinmen Live Cam

This camera looks out from Cihu Triangle Fort in Jinning, Kinmen, over the coastal grassland where blue-tailed bee-eaters nest. It turns between a display tank, the tidal flats, the Kinmen Bridge and the hills of Lieyu across the channel.

Kinmen is an island group administered by Taiwan, lying just off the coast of Fujian opposite Xiamen. The fort is a former military strongpoint beside Ci Lake, and a row of retired tanks still stands in front of it. Blue-tailed bee-eaters arrive around April to breed, digging their burrows into earthen nesting slopes prepared for them near the fort.

In one view a tank sits among dry grass and low earth banks, with the long approach of the bridge and wide flats behind it. Another looks south to the cable-stayed towers of the Kinmen Bridge, opened in 2022 to link the main island with Lieyu.
