Dampfschiff Blümlisalp Live Cam

This camera is on the foredeck of the Blümlisalp, a paddle steamer working Lake Thun in the Bernese Oberland in Switzerland. The view moves with the ship.

She was built in 1906, taken out of service in 1971 and left to rot in a yard. An association bought her, raised the money over a decade and put her back on the lake in 1992; she is the only steamer left on Thun.

The paddles are driven by the original compound engine, converted from coal to oil, and the machinery is open to look at from the deck. She runs a timetable through the summer alongside the diesel boats.
