Playa Honda Arona, Tenerife Live Cam

Playa Honda runs across this webcam view at Las Américas, on the southern coast of Tenerife in the Canary Islands. A lifeguard tower stands on the sand, surfers carry boards to the water, and the coast runs away towards the mountains.

This end of the resort takes the swell that the sheltered beaches nearby do not, which is why the surf schools work here. The promenade behind runs several kilometres past hotels, bars and shopping centres towards Los Cristianos.

The flag on the tower marks the day's conditions. Wind picks up through the afternoon and the same water can go from flat to choppy in an hour.
