Port of Las Palmas, Gran Canaria Live Cam

This camera looks over the Port of Las Palmas in Gran Canaria, from the yacht marina beside Avenida Marítima to the busy container quays. The view moves between moored sailboats, breakwaters, the harbour entrance and cargo ships offshore.

The port, also known as Puerto de La Luz, is one of the busiest in Spain and a regular stop for ships sailing between Europe, Africa and the Americas. The Muelle Deportivo, the city’s main marina, lies just south of Alcaravaneras beach. Each November it hosts the start of the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers, when yachts set off for the Caribbean.

Watching from the southern end of the marina, the camera turns towards Santa Catalina and the volcanic hills of La Isleta, then to the gantry cranes of the container terminal. At times it follows a passing vessel, and an on-screen panel gives the ship’s name and destination.
