Nests of the White Storks Colony, Alfaro
Live PTZ webcam shows the nests of the colony of white storks in the city of Alfaro in the province of Rioja in northeast Spain. The real-time camera retransmits online everything that happens in the stork nests on the roof of the Collegiate Church of San Miguel Arcangel. The roof of the church houses the largest stork colony in the world on one building. Now you can follow this unique live show 24 hours a day, as the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and the Environment installed high-resolution cameras at observation points on the roof of the Collegiate Church of San Miguel Arcangel.
The proximity of the Sothos del Ebro Nature Reserve, the baroque architecture of the Collegiate Church of San Miguel Arcangel provide storks with an incomparable place that makes them the largest colony in the world of white storks on one building. This colony of storks consists of about a hundred nests. The oldest nests can weigh up to half a ton and consist of branches and remnants of plants, fabrics, ropes and other diverse materials that are collected by birds.
