Bratislava Skyline, Old Town Live Cam

This wide view from Zochova Street spans the Bratislava skyline, from high-rise towers in the east to Bratislava Castle on its hill. Between them stand the spire of Saint Martin's Cathedral and the white arch of Apollo Bridge above the Old Town roofs.

Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, lies on the Danube close to the borders with Austria and Hungary. Its compact Old Town grew up below the castle hill. East of the centre, new office and residential towers, among them the tallest buildings in Slovakia, have changed the city's outline in recent years. Apollo Bridge crosses the Danube on a steel arch and opened in 2005.

A very wide lens takes in everything from the towers on the left to the castle on the right, and the horizon bends slightly at the edges. Open sky fills most of the frame above the rooftops.
