Świnoujście has the widest beach in Poland, running west from the harbour entrance to the German border. The camera turns along the sand and the pine woods behind it.

The town is spread over dozens of islands at the mouth of the Świna, and until 2023 the only way between its two halves was a ferry; a road tunnel under the channel finally joined them up.

The white marker at the harbour mouth is Stawa Młyny, built in 1874 in the shape of a windmill and long since adopted as the emblem of the town. Świnoujście sits on Usedom, an island otherwise German, and the beach carries on across the border to Ahlbeck.
