Sokola Pass, Owl Mountains Live Cam

This camera on a mountain hut above Sokola Pass in the Owl Mountains looks south over a playground, meadows and a wooded valley. In the foreground are a gravel terrace with garden chairs, roofed picnic shelters and a wooden play tower with a slide.

Sokola Pass lies at about 754 metres in the central Owl Mountains, part of the Central Sudetes in Lower Silesia. The road from Nowa Ruda to Walim crosses it between the villages of Rzeczka and Sokolec. The hut stands higher up on the slope of Sokolica at about 875 metres, beside the red Main Sudeten Trail to Wielka Sowa, the highest peak of the range.

Past a fenced lawn and tall spruces, the slope drops into the valley running south toward Sokolec and Ludwikowice Kłodzkie, where roofs show among the trees. Beyond it, forested ridges stretch toward Nowa Ruda and the Kłodzko Land.
