Barcin Market Square, Poland Live Cam

Plac 1 Maja in Barcin is laid out as a formal garden, with clipped hedges and flowerbeds where a trading square once stood. The webcam looks down on it from a roof on the north side of the town centre.

The tower behind the trees belongs to the church of St James the Greater. Barcin sits on the Noteć in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, and a promenade runs along the river past the old lock.

The town lives off limestone. The deposits at nearby Piechcin and Bielawy feed the Kujawy cement works, one of the larger plants in Poland, and the quarries have left flooded pits that are now used for swimming and diving.
