Sanctuary of Our Lady, Torun Live Cam

The Sanctuary of Our Lady Star of the New Evangelisation and St John Paul II stands on the edge of Toruń, in northern Poland. The camera is fixed inside the church, above and behind the congregation, facing the altar.

The church was consecrated in 2016 and built by the Redemptorist foundation behind Radio Maryja, which also operates the picture. Gold lettering runs around the walls above the side altars carrying John Paul II's words from 1978 about opening the doors to Christ.

Services, rosaries and hours of prayer follow one another through the day, and the picture is largely a record of that schedule. Toruń itself is better known for its brick Gothic old town and as the birthplace of Copernicus.
