Dunedin Botanic Garden Live Cam

A camera over the Dunedin Botanic Garden, the oldest botanic garden in New Zealand, planted on the slope in 1863. It stands at the northern end of the city.

The garden runs from the flat lower ground, with its glasshouses, rose garden and duck pond, up a steep hillside into the upper garden, where the rhododendron dell holds several thousand plants and puts on the display the garden is best known for each October and November. Native bush covers the top of the slope, and the aviary sits between the two halves.

The feed is dark for a good part of the day given the time difference — southern New Zealand is twelve hours ahead of UTC — so the garden shows itself best to European viewers late in their evening.
