Marktstraat, Sneek Live Cam

Café tables and folded parasols take up the Marktstraat in Sneek, on the paving where the town market once stood. Bicycles lean against the fronts on both sides.

The street runs through the historic centre past the town hall, and the restaurants along it keep terraces out from April to October. The webcam looks down on them from a building on the corner.

Sneek is the sailing town of Friesland, set among the lakes, and each August it holds Sneekweek, the largest inland sailing regatta in Europe. The seventeenth-century water gate stands two streets from this view.
