Faralda Crane Hotel, Amsterdam Live Cam

A converted harbour crane stands on the north bank of the IJ at Amsterdam, in the Netherlands, with three rooms hung inside its frame. The camera looks over the water towards the city.

The live feed from this position no longer runs, and what is shown is recorded. The view it covers is the NDSM yard, where ships were built until 1984 and where artists moved into the empty sheds afterwards.

The crane dates from the 1950s and was kept when the rest of the site was cleared. The tall block across the water is Pontsteiger, finished in 2018 on the Houthavens, one of the old timber docks.
