The Royal Sands Phase 1 Live Cam

The pools of the Royal Sands resort lie below this view, in the Cancún hotel zone on the Caribbean coast of Mexico. A long pool runs towards the beach between two accommodation wings, with the sea beyond the sand.

The hotel zone is a narrow strip of land about 23 kilometres long, with the Caribbean on one side and the Nichupté lagoon on the other, and every plot along it is built up with resorts. This stretch faces east, so the surf runs straight onto the beach in front of the buildings.

The sun comes up over the water directly ahead of the camera, and the pools are lit after dark. Sargassum washes ashore here in some summers and is cleared from the sand in the early morning.
