Weather and time
This camera looks at a stone-patterned concrete wall beside the Onda River at Takase Bridge in Kogasaka, Machida, Tokyo. A staff gauge with red and white level plaques stands against the wall, and a metal fence runs along its top.
Takase Bridge carries the Naruse Kaido road over the river, with a cycling and walking path beside it. Kogasaka Elementary School stands about 200 m to the south-west and Kogasaka Maruyama Park about 200 m to the west. The Onda River rises in Machida and runs on into Yokohama, where it joins the Tsurumi River.
The view is close and steep. Grey blocks of the wall rise from a bank of dense green weeds, and the plaques on the gauge mark flood warning levels, the red one for the flood danger level. A blue bridge girder shows at the top right, while the water itself lies below the grass line.
