This city camera in Tottori looks southeast along National Route 53 from above a busy crossing in the Den'en-cho district. Low houses, apartment blocks and a long straight road fill the frame, with wooded hills rising on the left.

Den'en-cho lies close to the centre of Tottori, the capital of Tottori Prefecture on the Sea of Japan coast. National Route 53 links the city with Okayama Prefecture, and the stretch in view leads toward the prefectural government offices roughly two kilometres away. Hills ring the plain, and ridges show on the horizon.

The camera is mounted high above the street, so the view takes in the junction in the foreground, the road receding into the distance and rows of roofs all the way to the hills. Traffic lights and zebra crossings control the junction, where cars and buses come and go. The framing is fixed.
