Weather and time
Four camera panels look into the wombat house of Satsukiyama Zoo in Ikeda, a city on the northern edge of Osaka Prefecture. Indoor dens with glass doors, hay bedding behind wire mesh and a grassy outdoor yard share one split screen.
Satsukiyama Zoo is a small municipal zoo in Satsukiyama Park, at the foot of Mount Satsuki. Its wombats are tied to the sister-city partnership between Ikeda and Launceston in Tasmania, which dates back to 1965. Two more male wombats arrived from Australia in October 2025.
The lower right panel stays fixed on the outdoor yard, a patch of grass and shrubs along a grey fence. The other three panels change their angle over the day, moving between doorways, food bowls, sand heaps and close-ups of the animals. A wombat may be asleep in the hay or walking along the concrete floor by the brick wall.
