Mount Fuji Station Rooftop Terrace, Fujiyoshida Live Cam

This camera on the rooftop terrace beside Mount Fuji Station in Fujiyoshida looks over the town to Mount Fuji. The picture shows low houses and a car park in the foreground and the wooded foothills in front of the volcano.

Fujiyoshida is a city in Yamanashi Prefecture on the northern side of Mount Fuji, and Mount Fuji Station is its main railway terminal. The viewing deck is on the roof of the Q-STA terminal building next to the station, which is why the camera sees across the neighbouring rooftops and streets rather than only the mountain. A railing of the terrace frames the bottom edge of the picture.

Compared with the tower camera in the nearby Fuji-Q Highland park, this view is lower and closer to everyday town life: roofs, parked cars and power lines fill the lower half, and the summit stands at the top right.
