Terzorio is a small hill commune in the province of Imperia, in Liguria, set a short distance inland from Santo Stefano al Mare and Riva Ligure. The coast below belongs to the Riviera dei Fiori, a stretch of the Ligurian shore long associated with flower growing, which explains the white greenhouses scattered over the slopes. Villages with red-tiled roofs sit on the ridges, and the sea opens beyond the terraces.

The frame stays on one panorama, with olive branches filling the lower part of the picture. Below the olives, the slopes drop in terraces toward the shore, and the coastline curves away to a far headland on the right.
