Old Town Hillside, Castelluccio Superiore Live Cam

Colourful houses of Castelluccio Superiore climb a steep wooded slope above a small parking area at the edge of the old town. A pink building with a small clock tower stands out in the middle of the hillside.

Castelluccio Superiore is a hill village in the province of Potenza, in the Basilicata region of southern Italy, and belongs to the Pollino National Park area. The old centre clings to the mountainside, with stacked terraces of plastered houses, balconies and tiled roofs. A forested ridge across the valley closes the view on the left.

The camera looks along the slope from the village edge, so the frame is filled with facades and roofs at different levels instead of a flat square. The neighbouring village of Castelluccio Inferiore lies lower down in the valley.
