Jerusalem’s Old City Live Cam

From a rooftop west of the Old City, this camera looks over the tiled roofs to the golden Dome of the Rock and the ridge behind it. A time stamp runs in the corner, and the words JERUSALEM LIVE FEED across the bottom.

The slope beyond the dome is the Mount of Olives, pale with the stone of its cemetery, and a slender Russian bell tower breaks the skyline on the left. In the foreground are ordinary Jerusalem houses of the same limestone, with cypresses and a school block between them.

Late afternoon is the hour for this view: the sun comes from behind the camera and the dome lights up, while at midday desert haze flattens everything into one colour. It is the only camera here that shows the Old City as a whole rather than one stone wall.
