Weather and time
This camera overlooks the open-air grounds of the Technik Museum Speyer, where a Lufthansa Boeing 747 is mounted high above the exhibits. Its view moves between the jumbo jet, the historic Liller-Halle, a sea rescue cruiser and the giant Antonov An-22.
The museum lies in the south of Speyer, within sight of the Romanesque cathedral. Its Boeing 747-200 rests on a steel frame about 20 metres high. The Liller-Halle was built in 1913 near Lille and moved here during the First World War for the Pfalz aircraft works.
One preset looks past the 747 to a Lufthansa Vickers Viscount and a yellow firefighting amphibian; another frames the Liller-Halle façade lined with jet fighters, with the cathedral towers behind. Others show the rescue cruiser John T. Essberger and the An-22 with its contra-rotating propellers.
