Landtag of North Rhine-Westphalia, Dusseldorf Live Cam

This camera looks down on the Landtag of North Rhine-Westphalia, the round parliament building on the Rhine in Düsseldorf. It stands at the southern edge of the city centre, in the government quarter.

The frame takes in the whole quarter at once: the lawns and scattered sculptures of the riverside park in the foreground, the parliament's ring of glass and concrete beyond them, and the Rhine curving away to the left under the cable-stayed Rheinkniebrücke. On the far bank the flat meadows of Oberkassel run to the horizon, while the office towers of the city centre close the view on the right.

The stream is published by the parliament itself. Plenary days bring visible traffic to the forecourt and the car parks; outside sitting weeks the quarter is quiet and the park below belongs to joggers and cyclists. Clocks here run on Central European Time.
