Rooftops, Estaires Live Cam

The camera looks over the red-tiled rooftops of Estaires in northern France, with a weeping willow and a distant church spire below a wide sky. The view takes in the low roofs of a residential area and flat, tree-lined land on the horizon.

Estaires is a small town on the Lys river in the Nord department of the Hauts-de-France region. Brick houses with orange tiled roofs and tall chimneys are typical of the Flemish plain here, and the church spire is one of the few vertical landmarks above the town. The camera looks out from a residential street on the western side of the town.

The foreground is a steep ridge of old clay tiles beside a cream-coloured gable wall, with chimneys, antennas and a metal pole at the left edge. Most of the frame is open sky, so this camera mainly shows the clouds, the light and the weather over the town through the day.
