White Stork Nest, Žamberk Live Cam

This camera looks across a large white stork nest in the town of Žamberk in the Czech Pardubice Region. Beyond the thick rim of sticks, a grey silo, tiled roofs and wooded hills fill the background.

Žamberk is a small town in the Ústí nad Orlicí District, near the foothills of the Orlické hory. White storks return to Central Europe in spring and reuse the same nest for years, adding fresh material each season, so it keeps growing.

The lens sits close to the rim, so the frame is dominated by interlaced branches, with a clump of weeds rooted in the middle. Out of season the view shows the bare nest and changing skies over the rooftops; in the nesting season this is where a stork pair lays its eggs and raises its chicks.
