Weather and time
This screen splits into four views of the peregrine falcon nest high on the Roger-Gaudry Pavilion tower at the Université de Montréal. Two panels watch the nest box and its ledge, one looks over the campus and one shows the tower.
Designed by Ernest Cormier and completed in 1943, the pavilion is the main university building on the northern slope of Mount Royal and a National Historic Site of Canada. Falcons were first seen on its 82-metre tower in 2007, and a nest box went up the next year. In 2026 the resident pair raised three chicks.
The upper-left panel shows the box against cream brick from changing angles, and the lower-left one looks down at gravel and artificial turf beside it. The upper-right panel looks south over rooftops and Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery to the dome of Saint Joseph’s Oratory, and the lower-right one frames the tower.
