Praia dos Sonhos, Itanhaém Live Cam

Praia dos Sonhos runs across this webcam view at Itanhaém, on the coast of the state of São Paulo in Brazil. Umbrellas stand in rows on the sand, and a rock outcrop closes the beach at the far end.

Itanhaém was founded in 1532 and is among the oldest towns in the country; a Jesuit church and the hillside site associated with the priest José de Anchieta stand a short way inland. The beach itself runs several kilometres along a flat shore.

The town is close enough to São Paulo to fill at weekends and empty during the week. Surf here is modest and the water shallow a long way out.
