Ilha Porchat, Brazil Live Cam

Ilha Porchat is a small island tied to the mainland at São Vicente, on the coast of São Paulo state in Brazil. The camera looks down from the club on the headland over the beach and the bay.

São Vicente was the first permanent Portuguese settlement in Brazil, founded in 1532, which the town has been reminding everybody of ever since. The bay in view separates it from Santos and its port.

The surf school on this beach has run free lessons since 1992 and teaches surfing, paddleboarding and outrigger canoeing to a few hundred local children a year. The swell is small but consistent, which is what makes it a teaching beach.
