Marllon Lanches, Itararé Live Cam

Itararé Beach runs across this view at São Vicente, on the coast of São Paulo state in southeastern Brazil. The Itararé rock with its statue stands offshore in the middle of the frame, and the tower blocks of Santos rise beyond the point.

São Vicente was the first town the Portuguese founded in Brazil, in 1532, and it now runs into Santos as one continuous seafront. The avenue behind the sand carries the traffic, and the grass strip beside it is where paragliders launched from the ridge come down to land.

The stream comes from a snack bar on the promenade, and the camera pans between the beach, the rock and the road. Weekends and holidays fill the sand right up to the water.
