Water's Edge Resort & Spa Live Cam

Long Island Sound opens out below this webcam at a resort in Westbrook, on the Connecticut shoreline. White clapboard buildings and lawns fill the foreground, and Salt Island lies low in the water offshore.

The Sound is a tidal estuary rather than open ocean, sheltered by Long Island across the water, so it stays flat most days. Salt Island and the rocks around it are used by nesting seabirds, and the shoreline here is a mix of marsh, beach and old summer houses.

The season runs from May to October and the lawns in view carry weddings through it. In winter the same frame is grey water and bare trees.
