Old Silver Beach, Falmouth Live Cam

Calm water and a long curve of pale sand make up the view at Old Silver Beach in Falmouth, on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. The camera is set at the Sea Crest hotel, above the northern end of the beach.

The beach faces west into Buzzards Bay, sheltered from the open Atlantic, so the surf stays low and the water warms earlier in the season than on the ocean side of the Cape. Sunset falls directly across this view.

Falmouth occupies the southwestern corner of the peninsula, with Woods Hole and the ferries to Martha Vineyard at its southern end. The Wing Pond and Beebe Woods reservations give walking trails a short way inland.
