Lake St. Clair, Fair Haven Live Cam

This view looks northwest across Bouvier Bay, in the north of Anchor Bay, toward the tree-lined shore of Fair Haven, Michigan. A house with a dock and a row of old pilings stands at the left edge, and New Baltimore shows as a thin strip of shore on the horizon.

Anchor Bay is the northern arm of Lake St. Clair, which lies between Lake Huron and Lake Erie and is sometimes called the sixth Great Lake. The lake covers about 430 square miles but averages only around 11 feet deep. In cold winters Anchor Bay is its main ice fishing area, with anglers going after yellow perch off Fair Haven.

The camera holds one fixed wide view in which open water and sky take up most of the picture. Fair Haven Point juts into the bay in the middle of the frame, and further right the shore leads toward the Fair Haven boat launch and the channel into Bouvier Bridge Marina.
