Weather and time
At the Nordson Depot in Amherst, Ohio, a fixed camera overlooks several parallel Norfolk Southern main-line tracks stretching away. The frame is filled with rails and ballast, with a white house and a metal storage building in the background.
The depot is a renovated 1905 passenger station built by the Lake Shore & Michigan Southern Railway, later part of the New York Central, and it carried passengers until 1963. After a 2021 donation from Nordson Corporation it was restored for the City of Amherst. The line in front of it is Norfolk Southern's Chicago Line at milepost 213, the former Water Level Route between Chicago and Cleveland.
The view looks along the tracks with a utility pole at the left edge and trees behind a lawn on the far side. The framing does not change, so every passing train crosses the same stretch of rails in front of the lawn.
