Eythrope Wetlands, Waddesdon Live Cam

This fixed camera looks along a narrow watercourse through the Eythrope wetlands near Waddesdon in Buckinghamshire. Grassy banks, a fenced pasture and a wooded ridge on the skyline fill the frame.

Eythrope lies on the Waddesdon Estate beside the River Thame, about three miles west of Aylesbury. Between 2019 and 2021 the River Thame Conservation Trust and its partners turned low-diversity floodplain meadow here into a mosaic of pools, scrapes and a backwater. The wetland became a Local Wildlife Site in 2023, and surveys since 2015 have recorded more than 130 bird species.

The view follows the channel away from the camera, with a post-and-wire fence and grazing land on the left and tall sedge, rough grass and wooden posts on the right. Morning and afternoon frames show the same fixed view, with only the light and the sky changing through the day.
