Two Palms Beach Live, Koh Samui Cam

A beach club pool looks north over the Gulf of Thailand from Bang Po, on the northern coast of the island of Ko Samui. The webcam takes in the pool, the loungers and the water.

Bang Po is one of the shallowest beaches on the island. A reef flat runs out for a hundred metres or more, so the water stays knee-deep a long way out and the swimming depends entirely on the tide.

That same flat keeps the swell off, which is why this side is calm when the east coast is choppy. The hills behind rise into the forested interior, and the sunsets fall along the shore rather than out to sea.
