Changhong Bridge, Fengbin Live Cam

Changhong Bridge, a red arch bridge, carries Provincial Highway 11 across the Xiuguluan River estuary in Fengbin, Hualien County. The camera turns between the bridge, the river mouth and the wooded hills beside the estuary.

The Xiuguluan is the river that cuts through the Coastal Range and reaches the Pacific here, and rafting trips on it finish close to the bridge. Xibulan Island, also called Shiqiuyu, sits at the mouth and is a sacred place for the coastal Amis people. A visitor center with a cafe stands beside the road at the bridge.

The bridge view shows the arch with traffic crossing and a crosswalk in the foreground. Other views look east over boulders and a sandbar toward the open sea, or across the trees to a house on the wooded slope above the river.
